As a NoVa photographer, I get really excited about all the location options we have nearby. Just a few minutes east of D.C. there's this gorgeous garden that I love recommending to families for their session. Like most gardens, it's particularly beautiful in the spring and summer! Just don't forget your bug spray!
Family sessions aren't about perfection, they're about personality! Sure, I like to start each session with a nice smiling pose to get everyone while they're still fresh, but then it's time to play. It's what kids do after all! I have distractions, games, and silly faces galore ready to get the kids excited.
Nobody's ever regretted a family session, no matter how old your kids get. One common misconception is that there isn't "much going on" to take photos of, but there actually is.
